some recent arts & crafts

ofcourse this isn't everything i've made, it's just the ones i have made pictures of :)

it's like a little window in everything i do, so i'll show some personal projects, little doodles, snippets from my diary or just sketchbook content.

i hosted an alternative version of 'inktober'!
inktober is a yearly challenge where artists create art every day of october based on a list of prompts and post them on their socials. usually participants will use ink to create their pieces.

i made my own version where people are free to use the daily prompts to do whatever creatively satisfies them (music, drawings, pictures, anything!!)

they could sent whatever they made to me or post it with the #comfortzoneoctober and i would post them weekly to the gallery i made on the website!

^ a piece of info from the website

^ the definitive prompt list we put together with a team

i made a form where people could submit their ideas for promts that I would later collect and reorganise. i ended up going through this process very slowly with the help of 2 really good friends. together we came up with the order of all the words!

^ this is the image made and used in a tweet to remind people that the event was in one day :)

so here are my drawings based on the prompts, some days are missing, because i either made a picture or a digital piece!

all in all i had a lot of fun, some days were kind of hard, but when i look back at these i do feel like i've grown because of this challenge :)

i learned a lot about my abilities and feel like this type of challenge was perfect for me!

what i also learned is that this challenge didn't work for everybody, i found out quickly that i was the only person doing something every day of the month because i had to set the example as the host of this event. even though i thought i had set the bar low enough, people came to me often to apologise and say they couldn't keep up with the 'making something everyday' part of it, but luckily that wasn't the point! starting or quitting at any point in the month was totally okay and i'm sure even everyone who participated learned something from it! even if they didn't submit their works.

in the end it was so interesting to see what people associated with the words we came up with!

10/10 i would do it again!
