-- my video's --

after my media design study in 2021, i felt the need to get better at editing! so in early 2022 i started this series of videos that i made myself, filmed with my trusty old handycam. i started small, with shorter video's and with knowledge and skill i pushed the amount of time i worked on each video until they became what they are now!

on this page, underneath each video, i'll give them individual love letters, because they deserve it :)

i like how this one tells a story! i really had to dig for all of these pieces of the puzzle, and i like the way it came together in the end. i finally got to show people this confusing job situation with images and video material. AND i was able to properly close this chapter of my life with the help of this video!! at last... i was able to move on

i liked picking extra footage to accompany the drawings, that really brought me back to the moments i was filling this sketchbook!

first voice over! i really like the intro in this one. it's very slow-paced, so not for everyone... but i like it :)

this was so cool to make! i'm so glad i got to use 9sphere's music, it helped tremendously with building atmosphere and setting the tone. usually searching for cool ambient (i mean the genre, not just like ambience/background sounds) music is quite hard on platforms like freesound, where i am usually on the hunt for the best fitting tunes.

so many remarkable shots combined in a super long, super enjoyable video. i love watching this one! during the editing i made sure i didn't look at the footage too often, so it was still enjoyable to watch even right after i made it.

short but sweet!

this intro was the first time i did an animation on my own! the book slowly opening and zooming in was kind of a struggle to make it look natural, but i still like it anyway!

i love the close-up footage of me sanding that wooden basket thingy, it's very satisfying to see that dust flying

i like that there's another 'painting on clothing' scene in this one, it's like a throwback to those first videos

and the garden scenes <3_<3 are great

so glad they let me film there during my internship

this one is very important to me personally! it was my first time moving and i feel like it was so worth it to film all of these moments, even though they were difficult to go through. i can relive all of it if i want to and that's so precious to me.

the transition at 13:28 hits me every time!

seeing my cute and colourful old room again always fills me with joy.

i love the addition of the bittersweet 'another code:r' music, the wii video game i've played a lot.

the scene at 18:34 is also such a favourite of mine, that light in that room always meant so much to me in terms of its atmosphere. so removing it meant that i was ready to move on and start over with creating a new vibe in a new place that i could call my own.

the music at 19:17 is so appropriate, it's from hidamari sketch x365 episode 1, where the main character moves out by herself for the first time to hidamari apartments!

this has gotta be one of my favourites!! the story, the seasons the pacing, the music... great video

owls!!

haha very peaceful vibes

i really like the intro of this one!

this one sets the winter theme so nicely.

those dang birds!!! they're everywhere

so many shots in this video are so solid!!! love it. love the swans, love the vibes

a video combining multiple days of filming in this way was kind of a first for my channel! and i kept on using that same format afterwards, because i filmed a lot of material that was worth combining into a longer video with one theme instead of keeping them separate in short videos

this was my favourite video for a long time, i love the change of scenery that this project provided! and having to dig back into even older video's to provide the first few shots was a delight, i love how it all came together

i was too busy having a good time here, and it shows hahaha

i still wear this jacket a lot!

i love the kiddy camera footage

vibe! i love the transition of rain to sunshine

i always get nostalgic watching this one!! my old atelier space was so cosy

taking the camera to the other side of the water, making the shot at 3:11 and running back was so nerve-racking! but seeing the footage makes it so worth it! this was a lovely day and i remember looking forward to filming a vlog that day so vividly

i love this one... i feel like the editing style i use today is still very reminiscent of the one used to make this video. which makes sense, because it is my style, but still! i hope you get what i mean haha

this whole process, including the planning, painting, filming, and editing was such a breeze!! i look back on this video fondly and still have the painting up on my wall to remind me

the first one! kinda spooky
